You own positioning, messaging, launches, sales enablement, and content for Sierra’s customer-facing AI agents. You partner with product, sales, agent development, and the rest of marketing. The role is onsite in San Francisco.

## What you would do

You shape how Sierra tells its story, adapting the message for a feature, a product, an industry, or a buyer. In a given week that could be web copy, an event session, a sales narrative, a launch blog post, or campaign content. When a product or feature ships, you lead the messaging, assets, and sales enablement. Sometimes you also adapt the launch for a specific industry or buyer.

Sales and the rest of the go-to-market team use the playbooks and assets you build, including slide decks, landing pages, and demos. Sierra expects you to work AI-first. You build the automations, templates, and systems that keep messaging consistent across industries. You work across channels and go deep on one area, such as an industry, a persona, or the website.

## Why Sierra is hiring now

Sierra says it is growing fast and that product marketing sits at the center of its go-to-market. The rest is our read. Sierra sells to large brands in retail, financial services, healthcare, and other industries, including Gap, SoFi, and Sutter Health. Each buyer wants to know why the product matters for their business. Early proof is one industry narrative a seller can use in a meeting, plus a template that makes the next industry faster.

## Who would do this well

Sierra asks for four or more years of B2B or B2C product marketing. They want experience with positioning, launches, and assets built for sales and customers across different audiences and industries. You should think in processes and repeatable frameworks. You also need to be comfortable building structure on a lean team. Day to day, you use ChatGPT or Claude to work faster, and you build presentations in Google Slides.

## How to prep tonight

Pick one industry Sierra sells into, such as retail or healthcare. Write the sales narrative for that buyer. Add the demo moment that shows what the agent does, and the main objection with your answer. Then note what you would change for a second industry, and what your template would keep the same.

## How Sierra describes the role

Two lines from Sierra’s description of the role.

“Sierra is growing fast, and product marketing sits at the center of how we go to market.”

“Sometimes this means translating to industries or buyers.”

## Common questions

**Who do you partner with?** Product, sales, agent development, and the rest of marketing. You build the playbooks and assets sales uses. You do not manage those teams.

**Should you prep every industry?** No. Sierra wants range across channels and depth in one area, such as an industry, a persona, or the website. One narrative a seller could use in a real meeting is a stronger sample than five industries covered lightly.

**How should you talk about AI tools?** Bring one marketing task you already run with ChatGPT or Claude. Say what you automated, what you edited, and how you checked the output before it reached sales or customers.
