Your first mock interview is free (10 minutes). No card needed.
What you would do
You partner with Product on the message for each capability, including who it is for. Sales gets battlecards, pitch materials, customer stories, and objection handling. Developer Relations, Comms, Creative, and Marketing join you when a launch needs a public explanation or a campaign.
You launch new capabilities every week, from flagship releases to smaller feature updates. Developer campaigns are how you drive API adoption, and you take competitive intel, customer research, and field feedback back to Product. The seat is in San Francisco or New York, at least two days a week in the office. If you’d need a little time to relocate, Anthropic still wants you to apply.
Why Anthropic is hiring now
Anthropic has not said why this seat is open. This is our read. Capabilities ship often enough that Sales and Developer Relations start telling different stories. Those two teams should repeat one narrative, to a technical buyer and to a non-technical buyer, and you update it when the next capability ships.
Who would do this well
You need a record of taking API products or developer tools to market, including launches you ran. The writing has to work for an executive, a technical user, and a customer. Ten or more years in product marketing is preferred, with five of those years on developer platforms, APIs, or technical products. Experience with AI or ML products, and time with Sales on technical deals, are also preferred.
How to prep tonight
Write the battlecard for one Claude API capability a developer can already call. Put the buyer on it, the claim you would not stretch, and the objection a technical evaluator will raise. Then add the note you would send Product if field calls showed the capability solving a different problem than you had positioned it for.
Common questions
- Who joins you on a launch?
- Product, Sales, Developer Relations, Comms, Creative, and Marketing. You align Product, Sales, and Marketing. You do not manage those teams.
- How technical does the writing get?
- Technical enough that a developer accepts it, and plain enough that an executive can repeat it. The formats run from blogs and website copy to presentations, sales collateral, and case studies.
- Is ten years required?
- It is preferred, along with five years on developer platforms, APIs, or technical products. The record they ask for is go-to-market work on an API or a developer tool, and writing for more than one audience.
