Interview format

ElevenLabs does not publish an interview process for product marketing. Treat any round count you read as guesswork. Product marketing sits inside the growth organization built around the Agents platform, and the work spans the self-serve funnel and the government side of the business. Glassdoor aggregates put the process near 26 days at a difficulty of 3.09, but that sample skews engineering.

One report from outside marketing describes a take-home, then a round with the Paid Marketing Lead, then a final with the Growth Lead. That is a growth org pattern and it may hold for your loop. Ask the recruiter to lay out the stages in writing before you commit time.

Communication between rounds is the recurring complaint. People wait with no update, then get moved along quickly. Set expectations about timing on the first call, and follow up without apology when a week goes quiet.

  1. Q1

ElevenLabs sits between commodity text to speech vendors and full customer experience platforms. How do you position the Agents platform against both at once?

Two competitive frames pull in opposite directions. Price pressure comes from below and feature breadth comes from above. They want to hear you choose a frame and defend it instead of splitting the difference.

FrameworkCompetitive frame selection (category definition, differentiation pillars, proof points by segment)

  2. Q2

The same company runs a self-serve creator funnel and a fast-growing enterprise motion. How do you keep one brand working for both?

This is the structural tension in the business. Creators want speed and transparent pricing. Enterprise buyers want security, contracts and references. They are checking whether you can hold both without thinning the story.

FrameworkSegmented messaging architecture (shared brand promise, audience-specific proof, channel split)

  3. Q3

You are packaging the Agents platform for government buyers. What changes about the pricing and the messaging?

Government buying works nothing like the self-serve motion, and they treat it as its own market. Procurement cycles, compliance certifications and data residency all shape what you are allowed to say. They want evidence you have worked inside constraints like these.

FrameworkRegulated market GTM (compliance proof points, procurement path, reference strategy)

  4. Q4

Foundation model providers bundle voice into their APIs at no extra cost. How do you defend a paid voice platform against free?

Bundling is the biggest strategic threat here. A weak answer argues quality alone. A strong one names what a dedicated platform does that a bundled feature will not, and quantifies the gap for a named buyer.

FrameworkBundling defense (switching cost analysis, depth versus breadth argument, buyer risk framing)

    Answer this one out loud
  5. Q5

ElevenLabs adds a product category every few quarters. How do you keep positioning coherent while the surface area keeps growing?

Launches run concurrently here as a matter of course. They want a system, not heroics. Talk about what stays fixed in your messaging and what you expect to rewrite each quarter, and say who signs off.

FrameworkModular messaging system (durable positioning pillars, launch-level messaging, update cadence)

    Answer this one out loud
  6. Q6

Klarna runs first line phone support for 35 million US customers on ElevenLabs. How do you turn that into a repeatable enterprise story?

Named deployments are the strongest asset the enterprise motion has. They want to watch you move from one impressive customer to a case study, a vertical play and enablement that a sales rep can use unaided.

FrameworkCustomer proof engine (case study structure, vertical extension, enablement assets)

What they look for

The bar here pairs product and design sensibility with strong copywriting. That combination is unusual and it is deliberate. Bring work you wrote and shipped yourself, not a deck about work someone else wrote. If you have opinions about a product name or a landing page, say them out loud in the room.

Conversational agents are a specific area of expertise and they screen for it directly. You need to talk about latency, turn taking, interruption handling and why those things sink a deployment. Reading a few blog posts will not hold up in a technical conversation with the Growth Lead.

The culture line is take initiative and work autonomously from day one, and low ego shows up in how people describe the place. They want someone who ships without a brief. Examples where you found the problem yourself land better than examples where you executed a plan handed to you.

Insider tips

Use the Agents product before you interview. Build something small, break it, and arrive with a list of what confused you. The people who build it will be in the room, and they can tell the difference between a user and a reader.

Know the funding picture and what it implies. A $500M Series D at $11B in February 2026 led by Sequoia, with later closes bringing in BlackRock, NVIDIA, Salesforce and Deutsche Telekom. Reports since point to talks near $22B on roughly $500M in revenue. Enterprise is where that pressure lands.

Ask about scope on the first call. Product marketing sits inside a large growth organization here, so find out early how the work divides between you, paid marketing and lifecycle. Get that clear before you invest days in a take-home.

Reading ElevenLabs's questions is the easy part. Answering one out loud, cold, with a follow-up coming is the part that falls apart in the room. That's what Mokk trains.
