Interview format
Harvey does not publish its interview process either. People who have been through it describe a recruiter screen, role-specific rounds and a final panel. Three to five rounds over two to four weeks is the range reported, and go-to-market rounds lean case-style.
One account describes an interview built almost entirely around marketing a very niche AI product, covering positioning, messaging and audience. Startup pace and ownership came up heavily in the same conversation. No formal take-home has been confirmed, so practice thinking out loud instead of preparing a document.
Harvey hires product marketing at senior level and wants six to eight years marketing complex workflow products to enterprise buyers. Treat that bar as the syllabus for whatever case you get. Everything you bring should show you selling into a buyer with a process, not a generic software audience.
Sample questions
6 questionsQ1
Legora wins on collaborative workflow design and tabular review. Harvey wins on scale. How do you position against a competitor with the better product experience in one lane?
Legora sits at roughly $150 million in ARR against Harvey past $400 million, and reviewers credit it with the stronger workflow design. The interviewer wants to see whether you can pick a fight you can win instead of arguing on every dimension at once.
FrameworkCompetitive strategy (battlecard scoping, avoiding strength on strength, proof by deployment scale, objection handling)
Answer this one out loudQ2
Harvey is expanding from law into professional services. How do you widen the story without weakening the legal-expert brand?
Harvey built credibility by being the legal AI company, and broadening the addressable market puts that at risk. They want a sequencing answer that protects the core narrative while opening the next segment, with a clear view on what gets said to whom.
FrameworkBrand architecture (core narrative protection, vertical proof points, segment sequencing, message hierarchy)
Answer this one out loudQ3
Law firms bill by the hour. How do you sell software whose promise is spending fewer of them?
This is the oldest objection in legal technology and it still decides deals. Strong answers move the conversation to capacity, realization rates, matter volume and associate retention. Weak answers say efficiency and stop there.
FrameworkValue narrative under misaligned incentives (economic buyer mapping, revenue reframe, pilot design, proof metrics)
Answer this one out loudQ4
Harvey splits product marketing into Core and Solutions. Where would you draw the line between the two?
Harvey staffs both halves, so the split is real and you would own one side of it. This tests whether you understand the difference between horizontal platform narrative and vertical proof, and whether you can work alongside someone who owns the other half without duplicating their work.
FrameworkOwnership design (platform versus solution messaging, artifact ownership, handoff points, shared metrics)
Answer this one out loudQ5
The product changes every week. How do you enable a sales team so the pitch does not go stale between releases?
Harvey ships fast and serves more than three thousand paying organizations. Solution-led messaging, demo storylines, playbooks and customer-ready materials are all standing expectations. Describe a system with an update cadence and an owner, not a one-time launch kit.
FrameworkEnablement system (modular messaging, release cadence, certification, field feedback loop)
Answer this one out loudQ6
Take a technical capability from an agentic product and turn it into something a managing partner cares about.
Connecting technical capability to business value across verticals and personas is the core of the job here. Reports describe rounds dominated by exactly this, so rehearse it out loud with a timer. Land on an outcome a partner would repeat.
FrameworkCapability to value translation (persona mapping, outcome language, proof points, pre-empting objections)

What they look for
Six to eight years marketing complex workflow products to enterprise buyers is the stated bar, and that filter does most of the work. Harvey sells agentic drafting, review, research and workflow automation into law firms and in-house teams. If you have only marketed horizontal SaaS to a generic buyer, the vocabulary gap shows up in the first round.
Pace and ownership come up repeatedly in candidate reports. Harvey raised $550 million in September 2026 at $15.5 billion, up from $11 billion six months earlier, and passed $400 million in ARR along the way. A plan written in January is wrong by March at that speed. Show that you rewrite your own work before someone asks you to.
They want positioning that survives contact with a skeptical profession. Lawyers are trained to find the flaw in a claim, and your messaging gets read that way by the buyer. Precision beats enthusiasm here. Every claim you make in the interview should arrive with the evidence you would put behind it in market.
Insider tips
Learn Legora properly. Try the product if you can, read how its collaborative review works, and be able to say where it is better. Naming a competitor strength and then explaining why Harvey still wins the deal reads as confidence. Pretending the gap does not exist reads as homework nobody did.
Bring artifacts. The solutions half of the function lives on demo storylines, playbooks and customer-ready materials. A one-page solution brief you shipped, with the story of how sales used it and what changed in the pipeline, does more in a panel than any framework you can recite from memory.
Have a view on where the professional services expansion goes next. Accounting, consulting and tax all run on document-heavy workflows with the same review and drafting problems. Pick the one you think Harvey should enter first and be ready to argue it for five minutes. Interviewers remember a specific bet.
